CITBA's Customs Corner
This year continues to be eventful for customs practitioners. Do not forget to peruse the case summaries section to keep up on all the recent decisions from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN THE CUSTOMS COMMITTEE? We have opened up the Customs Committee to any CITBA Member who would like to join! We will meet quarterly (July, October, January, & April) around lunch time to give us all a chance to stay in the “know” on current customs events. Each meeting will start with a short informal presentation giving us a “heads-up” about interesting current customs matters. We will then open the meeting for discussion, questions, or anything else that occurs organically. We hope you will join us! Our next meeting will be October 14, 2021, at noon. If you would like to join and receive updates regarding meeting times and logistics, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
DO YOU HAVE THESE RESOURCES AT YOUR FINGERTIPS? Fines, Penalties, & Forfeitures (FP&F) are issues that can arise in any customs practice. Below we have listed some base-line resources for every practitioner.
