Diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) is an explicit pillar of Husch Blackwell’s firmwide, long-term strategy. We are committed to integrating diverse, equitable and inclusive practices in everything we do at our firm. This in turn ensures we deliver our best legal counsel to clients.
Husch Blackwell goes beyond standard DE&I policies to provide support and programming for all of our attorneys and business professionals, with intentional support of our colleagues who identify as women, underrepresented racial groups and/or LGBTQ+ community members. Some of these initiatives include: 
  • Diversity Liaison Program: One-on-one support focused on development, retention and advancement of attorneys with underrepresented racial and/or LGBTQ+ identities. 
  • Sponsorship Initiative: A retention and inclusion program structured to increase the level of diversity at the firm’s highest ranks through the development and advancement of talented attorneys from underrepresented groups.
  • Professional and Client Development Programs: An array of developmental programs and memberships such as Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), Corporate Counsel Women of Color Conference, Ms. JD LaddHer Up retreat, and the Diversity Lab’s Client Forums.
